Robert Lee ‘Bob’ ‘Max’ Watts

Robert Lee “Bob” Max” Watts, 63, of Canal Winchester and formerly of Marion, died Tuesday (March 2, 2010) at his residence.

He was born June 10, 1946 in Columbus to the late Robert F. and Mildred H. (Miller) Watts. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam. Max was retired from GTE Phone Company, where he worked 15 years. He also worked as a cook for various catering companies. He was a member of Pope John XXIII Parish, Canal Winchester, a life-member of AMVETS, and he volunteered his time during the Canal Winchester Labor Day celebration. He loved to golf in his spare time and could often be seen in Canal Winchester riding his bicycle.

He is survived by son, Jason (Margie) Watts of Delaware; daughter, Michelle (Tom Murphy) Dunnan of Morral; grandchildren, Noah, Ethan and Malorie, and Eli Watts, Holly Butler, Jeremy and Kalin Dunnan.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home and Crematory, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, where family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. The Rev. Dave Carter will officiate.

The family would like to thank his dear friend, Charlie Mankin of Canal Winchester, for his friendship and care for Max.
